Capable, Intelligent, Virtuous
“A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman—who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels are her value is far above rubies or pearls.”
Capable, Intelligent, and Virtuous are the focus themes of my blog based on the Amplified Bible's interpretation of Proverbs 10:31. To me, it describes the woman and mama that I am becoming (I'm speaking this into life people!) with all the glory going to Him who created me. Join me on my journey as I explore these three categories of my walk with Him.
Capable refers to anything that requires effort to execute; I write about completing daily tasks with a mind towards God. Cooking, cleaning, fixing the toilet, diapers, these are all sacred tasks if it's done with a heart for God. There’s a magic in being present in our situation, in taking part in our world.
Intelligent references my reflections about becoming intentional about learning and improving. I also want to address the sometimes disheartening alone-ness of being a writer and encourage every aspiring author out there that God has called you for this purpose, and that He values perseverance over perfection. I’ll share too my journey to becoming a children’s book author.
Virtuous contains my journal entries regarding my walk with God. I explore different Biblical passages and stories and relate them as best I can to my messy-beautiful life.
Those vessels Belshazzar was getting drunk from were sacred. And not because they were of rich metals or masterful design, but because they were in the presence of God Himself. On the regular. Which got us thinking, how should we treat the sacred?
